God Sends Us Out

Our call is to spread the gospel, the Good News. We are to do that wherever we can. As the saying goes, "Bloom Where You Are Planted." So, our ministries are local, in Marion County, and in our own families.

Our Local Mission Field

Though we support missionaries around the world, we know we can make a significant impact right here at home in Marion County, Tennessee. God blesses us so that we can bless others and we do that through several outreach efforts.

Champion Recovery Community (CRC)

Champion Recovery Community comes together to help individuals in our local area to overcome addictions, co-dependencies and traumas with discipleship, mentoring and training through the transformative power of Jesus with its free recovery program.

GPC women support this organization in two ways:

  1. Twice a month, with the aid of the local Food Bank, we provide food boxes to 20+ women in a LIfe Skills Course. The food boxes include not only staples but fresh meat, produce, eggs and milk.
  2. Once a month, we cook and serve a full dinner for these women.

Jail Ministry

We join with other churches to minister to those who are incarcerated in Marion County.

Each Sunday evening, men from churches in our area minister to the male inmates at the jail. One Sunday a month, we are part of this much-needed ministry outreach! It's a beautiful time of fellowship, prayer, reading God's Word and sharing the Gospel from various books of the Bible.

God is working in our midst in this ministry, and all glory to Him for the opportunity to meet with these men at their "house" to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'."

Matthew 28:35-40

Tiger Pantry

When a student has an empty stomach, it's hard to concentrate on anything else...like learning.

Partnering with Chattanooga State University - Kimball Campus, we provide a free "pantry" of food, including ready-to-eat meals, so that no student will go hungry. We keep it stocked on a regular basis with not only healthy snacks but also items they can take home to share with their families or friends.
