Welcome to
GRACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
JASPER
Our mission is to glorify God by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and found, in word and deed, near and far.
We desire to become a loving. gracious. and repenting community of instruments of reconciliation so that we may be a blessing to the nations.
Come join us!
We Worship King Jesus
Corporate Worship is the most important thing a Christian can do each week. It is the time and place where we experience what eternity in Heaven will be like and when individuals join together as a unified body and have fellowship with God.
The entire service is a dialogue or conversation between God and His people reflecting the way the gospel has played out throughout history: God calls us into His presence, we confess our sins, He forgives us, we worship Him, He teaches us, we fellowship with Him through communion, He blesses us and sends us out to minister to others.
We believe corporate worship should affect the whole person: the heart (through beautiful, creative music and compelling truth); the mind (through substantive lyrics and teaching); and the body (by participating in prayer, reading, singing, and communion.)
The gospel is Good News! And who needs the gospel? Everyone! -- the lost (non-Christians) and the found (Christians).
Core to our beliefs are:
The deeper we believe the gospel; the more we will live
it out in our communities, state, nation, and world. The Church seeks to serve rather than to be served locally and globally through service (mercy) ministry and missions.
We believe the Scripture is the Holy, Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible, Authoritative Word of God. Through discipleship of our congregation -- in Sunday School, small groups and other activities -- we aim to develop the character, content, competency and community that honors God.
GPC has Life Groups, intended to help you grow in your walk with God, to connect the church family and to strengthen our God-given talents, whatever they may be. These small groups deepen relationships, are a platform for discipling others and, we believe, are key to a healthy, growing church.
We believe we are unique for a number of reasons...
Reformed theology goes back to the roots. We acknowledge that God is sovereign over everything -- even salvation; that humans are saved by faith alone, in Christ alone; that the covenant of grace is an eternal covenant with His people; and, we worship God alone in everything we do, solely for His glory alone.
The denomination seeks to
be: Faithful to the Scriptures, True
to the Reformed Faith, Obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. We are governed by a biblically-qualified, elected Elder board.
Who are the marginalized?
You have been blessed so that you may be a blessing.
